SERRAPEPTASE It has been used in Europe and Asia for more than 25 years. Serrapeptase has long been a focus of research in relation to various body systems, including the circulatory, musculoskeletal and respiratory systems, and with processes related to the organism's adaptation to stress and long-term functioning of the body, from conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels, through accidents and sports injuries to the control of inflammatory responses. Serrapeptase It has been and is traditionally used in traditional healing and alternative medicine for various purposes.
Serrapeptase, also known as serralysin, is a proteolytic enzyme found in silkworms.
The decisive factor is enzymatic activity, not the mass of the enzyme itself. The efficiency of the enzyme is given in units SPU (Serratiopeptidase Units) – the higher the SPU value, the higher its activity. For example, the designation SERRAPEPTASE 250,000 SPU expresses the strength of the enzyme through its biological activity, not its weight. Some manufacturers only list the amount in milligrams on the label. However, this information only informs about the weight of the substance, not its actual enzymatic strength.
It is also important to verify whether the declared activity (e.g. 250,000 SPU) corresponds to one capsule, or whether it is divided into multiple daily doses. If the value is calculated for example into two or three capsules, only part of the declared activity falls on one capsule. When comparing prices, it is therefore appropriate to base it on the activity per capsule. Otherwise, the product may seem advantageous, although it actually contains a lower amount of active ingredient and a higher proportion of auxiliary ingredients.
